Relative to observing the month of March 2023 as Mes CHamoru; and celebrating Silibrasion Gupot CHamoru, i teman, “I Fino’ CHamoru: “Gi Minenhalom Taotao Tåno' gi Inabiban Hinemlo' yan Gråsia”; recognizing the commemoration of “Mother Language Day” on February 21, 2023, the commencement of the United Nations “International Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022-2032,” and commending the Guam Indigenous Heritage Alliance members: the Kumisión I Fino′ CHamoru I Fina′någuen Yan I Hestoria Yan I Lina′la I Taotao Tåno, the Department of CHamoru Affairs, the Guam Museum, the Commission on Decolonization, the Guam State Historic Preservation Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Alliance Network member organizations; and further thanking the CHamoru Studies and Special Projects Division of the Guam Department of Education, the University of Guam, the Guam Community College, and all of Guam’s government and community organizations for their collaborative efforts to ensure the preservation and perpetuation of the CHamoru language, culture, and heritage.
